- The annual Advisory Board, where business owners, managers, and university transfer specialists are invited to provide feedback on what characteristics and skills they're looking for in our student graduates as they prepare to transfer to the universities and/or enter the workforce.
- The annual 澳门极速彩 Small Business Expo and Marketplace brings together local West Valley businesses, employee business owners, and 澳门极速彩 students to showcase and sell their respective goods and services to offer attendees the opportunity to meet a variety of area vendors.
- Taking place on the scenic 澳门极速彩 campus, it鈥檚 a great opportunity to see the diversity of goods and services available from area businesses, make new connections, and foster consumer-to-business and business-to-business relationships that help strengthen the community and serves as a fundraiser for the Entrepreneur/DECA Club to offset operating costs and pay for state and international academic competitions.
- The annual Business Career Panel, where successful business owners/managers provide our students with "real-world" perspectives on what it took for them to accomplish their goals, the pros and cons of their respective chosen careers, their experiences, and words of advice for our students hoping to be in their shoes one day.

- Every student needs to attend the new student orientation. This event is designed to inform incoming students about the 澳门极速彩 campus, available resources, faculty and staff expectations, opportunities offered, and the importance of identifying their personal and educational goals.
- When you enroll in a business program, you become part of the Business Institute. The Institute orientation is your opportunity to connect with faculty, staff, and other students. You鈥檒l hear about resources just for your program, as well as be able to connect with a variety of 澳门极速彩鈥檚 business partners for future internships or scholarships.
- Finally, when you鈥檙e ready, you鈥檒l want to keep an eye open for 澳门极速彩鈥檚 graduation deadlines in order to fully celebrate your big day.
Justin Decknick Testimonial
澳门极速彩 alumnus Justin Decknick is currently the vice president of Sales and Branding at Truly360, the largest Google Trusted Agency worldwide. It was the 2008 recession that helped him come to the decision to pursue a new educational opportunity. 鈥淚 found myself needing an extra set of skills to be competitive and attractive in the marketplace,鈥 he said. While Glendale Community College was a bit closer in location for Decknick, he wanted to see what 澳门极速彩 (澳门极速彩) had to offer. During that initial visit, he found a time-saving route that made the possibility a bit more beneficial. He solidified his decision to come to 澳门极速彩 after discovering all the college had to offer him. Decknick was encouraged to take a career assessment 鈥 a test that would help him in selecting a career path that would best fit his natural attributes and interests. 鈥淭he assessment put me on the path to begin my pursuit of obtaining the general business degree from 澳门极速彩.鈥 Being involved in many different activities at 澳门极速彩 is something Decknick cites as aiding his success. 鈥淚 developed skills that I regularly utilize in my professional career,鈥 he said. He served as president and was a founding member of the Entrepreneur Club, where he organized many meetings, delegated tasks and executed goals to support learning and development of his business skills. He was a speaker in the college鈥檚 鈥淏rown Bag鈥 series, which he said helped him learn to 鈥渃ommunicate effectively to a crowd, develop methodologies in presenting information, and learning to understand complex situations.鈥 Decknick was also a winner of the All-Arizona Academic Team scholarship, and the exposure he gained from that award has served as a positive credential in the aggregate market. Decknick is a great example of how maximizing extracurricular opportunities at 澳门极速彩 can help students build a solid pathway to reaching and transcending goals. He feels extremely positive about his experience. 鈥淚 really enjoyed my time at 澳门极速彩, and feel it helped propel my professional aspirations forward.鈥 In addition to the programs he participated in, he says the supportive environment was also a huge benefit. 鈥淚 still drive by from time to time and although the landscape is a bit different, I still remember the sense of wonder I had about my future walking those very grounds.鈥
